1996 Ford Escort help me out

Just put junk yard motor in and put 140 miles on it that day, died on my way home. Started after twenty mins. Just now put timing belt on it, getting fuel and fire, marks are lined up good, #1 piston tdc, but still turns over like a timing belt jumped, took off the valve cover, looks good hoping its not a valve, do you think a head gasket, no water in the oil, what could it be?On the coil only put two bolts to hold to check. Is each 1 a ground, maybe timing did jump, but I only put 2 bolts after timing belt, cause there is metal tabs on each 1. Maybe, cant find out till I get my batt. Back
