Whenever my ignition is turned to the run position my brake lights come on and stay on. Also if the car is completly off with the ignition in the off position if you depress the bake pedal the brake lights do come on but the blower fan for the heater also comes on. I was wodering where this wiring may all come together that would be the location of my short? Could this also be a ground problem somewhere?

Welcome to the forum, as far as your brake lites. When the problem occurs, check the feed from the brake switch. The brake switch should be located close to brake pedal arm. The dark green should not be hot unless you are stepping on the brake. If it is hot, possibilities, the brake pedal arm or switch needs adjustment, where possible, The brake switch is faulty, The dark green wire is shorted to voltage somewhere and that is backfeed. One way to tell if the voltage is coming through the switch, Take the connector loose from the brake switch, if the green wire is still hot, it is shorted to voltage, somewhere.

Found the problem in the wire bundle that goes from the car to the rear trunk door. The bundle contained 8 wires, 3 were broken off and all the others had the insulation broken and the wires were exposed.

Thanks for the idea on the brake switch, I had just checked that when I came back to check the forum.
