I had a PCV valve replaced at the 100k checkup. It apparently is a 5 hour job because they need to remove things (not exactly sure what) to get to the PCV valve. My concern is that the engine now shifts slightly rough during the normal course of driving. It doesn't slip it is just rough than usual.A little vibration. More noticeable at slow speed like around 20mph when it automatically shifts. Could this be a result of them not replacing whatever they removed properly? Or could the PCV valve itself be incorrectly installed? Any thoughts?

Hi, I dont thing the pcv valve is incorrectly installed, because there is really nothing to it, but remove the old from the vacuum hose and put the new one in. However, I do believe they may have pinched, or re routed a vacuum hose which is now causing the tranny to shift slight abnormal. I would give it a couple more days, just to see if it will straighten out. If not. Take it back and explain your concerns. You have the right to do this, and if they give you any slack, then just explain you will have to report them to your states' atty. General. Let me know how it goes.

Will do. Could it be anything else that they had to remove while putting in teh PVC valve. Apparently on a Ford Escape they remove a bunch of things (not sure what) as it was a 5 hour job. Most cars are 15 minutes.
