2005 Ford Escape sunroof stops and goes

on my ford my sunroof opens great with no problem, but closing it is a diffr story, so when i close it it stops like every 2 inches and i have to repress the button or sometimes even wait like 5 seconds and repress it, so my question is what wrong, how do i fix it and how do i stop it from happening again. thanks

I had the same problem with mine and now it works fine.
