1998 Ford Contour

1998 FORD CONTOUR

My Contour has a 2.0 liter engine with 114,114 miles on it. The car is lacking acceleration on take off. Once it gets up to speed it runs fine. No shaking or anything like that and have not seen any smoke from the exhaust, just lacks acceleration.

Ck air filter clean. No vacum leaks ? Changed fuel filter when. Or ck for proper fuel pressure.

Last tune up was when?

Is it shifting through all gears? 1 2 3 and OD all

battery terminals clean and tight.
Bad electric connects or low voltage can cause many problems. A simple 25$ tool from WalMArt alolows you to ck voltage and other electric issues.
