Won't start

I have a 1988 Ford Bronco II with 68,700 on a factory rebuilt engine. Recently it stalled while running in the driveway and has not started since. The engine turns over but to no avail. I have been told on other forums it is the fuel pump, but when trying to start the car I can hear something (that I assume to be the fuel pump) running in the back, but only for a few seconds and then it stops. If this is the fuel pump, is it supposed to be constantly running? Is there anyway I can test the fuel pump to see if its bad, without taking it out or replacing it all together? Also, before it stopped running, it would stall after turning sharp corners or hard bumps.

Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Check for voltage and good ground at high pressure fuel pump located by frame rail.
Have some one crank the motor while feeling the fuel pump to see whether it's running.

Let us know what you find out!
