That is good news. If anything needs repaired with the EVAP system, it is part of the emissions system and falls under that warranty. I believe it is a five year/50,000 warranty with 0 deductible. I realize you are slightly over that, but if you argue with them, they will cover it.

Good luck, and we will be here if you have questions.

Thanks Joe! I bought the extended warranty (the car was used when I got it) so I bought the three year bumper to bumper extended Ford coverage (just in case!) Thanks for the piece of mind though!

I bought a 2010 in great shape in PA back in February with about 63,000 miles. I love it. Worked great. We moved here to San Antonio, TX early June, the "check fuel fill inlet" warning came on. I found out how to fix that. Cap-less fuel. Reset the OBD. That seemed to fix it. But now I have a check engine light. In the three months I had it in PA I did not have anything go wrong! I make a 1,600 mile trek and now I am having small issues. Still runs smooth, nothing rough. Love the car!

My engine light came on so I took it to Autozone had them do the engine check and it said the transmission speed sensor was misfiring so I had it replaced but the engine light is still on along with the wrench light. Also the car is okay to drive around town but I cant drive it on the freeway cause I cant take it past 55-60 cause the car will begin to lose power which is bad cause I work out of town. So would you happen to know what would be causing this?

It's nice the auto parts guys will read codes for you but they're in the business of selling parts. Diagnostic fault codes never say to replace parts. They only indicate the circuit or system that needs further diagnosis. About half the time a sensor referenced in the code is actually bad but half the time the sensor is not the problem. There can be breaks in a wire, corroded connector pins, a wire rubbed through and grounded out on an engine part.

I bought this car back in March. I haven’t been able to drive it for a month due to this weird problem it has. The transmission light is on, and when try to get up to speed, it gets stuck in first shift, and the check engine light comes on.

Hello,

This sounds like the input shaft speed sensor is out. To be sure here is a guide to get the codes to confirm the failure:

Please run down this guide and report back.

I have a 2006 ford fusion and it has about 55,000 miles. Just recently I was driving and the engine light came on and seconds after that another light came on and it looks like a ranch thats when the car started shaking and slowing down and then came to a complete stop. I cut it off and started it again and 15min later it did it again, please help me figure out this problem PLEASE

Have the computer scanned for code/s-you have a problem within the engine management system that caused the CEL to turn on-This is your starting point of diagnosis, finding out what's going on.

Scan for codes and keep a record of the codes. Then clear the codes and drive the vehicle. When replacing the battery on some cars, everything resets and it has to relearn all the parameters. Driving the car fixes this issue. If you don't have any drivability problems, I would suspect that they are false codes and most likely won't come back once cleared.

Have the fuel pressure tested. Then clamp off the fuel return line from the regulator and test again. I'm guessing that the sensor you had replaced was on the exhaust. That would be the oxygen sensor. Try cleaning the MAF/MAP sensor. MAF sensor will be on the air intake horn tubing; MAP sensor will be on the intake manifold.
