I have a problem starting my truck. I am a mechanic but never ran into this problem. The truck threw a P0300 and some other misfire codes, so I started at the plugs and worked my way through to the fuel rails. Than it ran for half a day. On my way home it started running rough again. Then shut off. Would not start after that. And the code it threw is a P0336. Which is the crankshaft position sensor fault code. I switched that out and now it will not fire at all.

This code is normally a crank sensor but there are other causes of it. Including getting a faulty sensor. So just because you replaced it, does not mean that the new sensor is not faulty. This happens many times.

So to find out what the cause is of this is to run through the testing for this code. Please see below and let us know what you find with this and we can go from there.

Thanks
