Can I run straight pipe from y pipe to rear bumper. I wanted to cut y pipe and make true duals. Can I do that? I just put on Shorty headers?

Hello,

Yes you can. Most dual exhaust will have a crossover in the middle. It can be an "X" but most are a "H" crossover. This helps with keeping the exhaust balanced. You can usually find premade X and H crossovers on Ebay pretty inexpensively, and in different diameters depending on your exhaust systems requirements.

Thanks,
Alex

Hello,

You can. This is how your vehicle's exhaust system breaks down: The exhaust manifold (which your shorty headers are the same size as your exhaust manifold). Next comes the mid-pipes, you will have to replace this part of your exhaust or modify it to move from a Y pipe to dual exhaust. The last part of the exhaust system is the catback. This is from the mid-pipes to the exhaust tips. You will have to replace this or modify it to go to dual exhaust. Look online at Amazon or Ebay for full length mid-pipes, and any catbacks for your vehicle. Catback systems are usually all the mufflers. I hope this helps.

Thanks,
Alex
