My SUV been running fine. Then at a red light I sounded like it was trying to flood out like the choke was on it would clear up, but when I stop it would do it again. This time I am parked and turn it off and ten minutes later go to start it and it started but for five seconds like it was chocked out again. It shut off try to start it like it was flooded and smell fumes, I did not touch gas pedal. Now try again this time I hold pedal 3/4 way and hold it did not think or try to start just turned over like no spark. I took off air hose to see if it needed air no go. So I leave car four hours and then start it and it started, but if I did not give it some gas and had to keep giving it would of shut off. So I drove it about four miles keeping my foot on gas pedal I get to my destination and take my foot off gas it stayed idling, but still did not seam it had a lot of power. I will be driving it home in two more hours and see how it does. What do I need to focus on or do to fix problems? It almost made me late to work a guy gave me a ride. So I need to figure out what went wrong. I had a 1/4 tank gas in it and I put one gallon of premium in it before I started it and also took negative off for ten minutes before I started it.

Hello,

It sounds like you have an injector the is stuck or a fuel pressure regulator that can be out.

Here is a guide that will help you check the regulator:

Next I would pull the spark plugs out and keep them in order, See which one is different then the rest which ill be the cylinder that has a bad fuel injector, Here is a guide on how to remove and test the injector.

Please let us know what happens.
