There are no tricks because in the procedure it doesn't even mention the bolts. I imagine they are seized because of the amount of heat they are exposed to. I would try to run the engine (if it is not disassembled to the point you can't) just to get the bolt heated up and it may be easier to get out.
If not, I would advise to use an impact drive tool. Basically, this is a screw driver that when you hit the back side of it with a hammer it turns the screw. So at the point of peak pressure the tool is actually turning the bolt. They work great on torx bolts. I just don't know if you have room to get it in there.
