Hello,

This could be a problem with your Camshaft Position Sensor (CMP). Your vehicle's Power-train Control Module (PCM) or "computer" uses the signal from the CMP and the Crankshaft Position Sensor(CKP) to fire the spark plugs and the fuel injectors at the proper time. In the diagrams down below I have included a description of the CMP's operation, a description of it's location, and the factory guide for the removal and installation of the CMP. Please go through these guides and get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex

Do you hear the fuel pump run in the tank if you turn the key on without cranking the engine over?

This guide should help us:

Please run down this guide and report back.

Yes, the fuel pump is working perfectly. I remove two of the spark plugs and I notice it's not firing. I inset a nail into the plug wire and pointed it to engine grounding and after I started the engine and it was igniting blue fire to the engine. I remove and inserted one of the plugs into the plug wire follow the same procedure but it was not igniting. So that tells me that particular plug is dead. Question is, can one plug cause the engine not to start? And is it possible for all the six plugs to go bad at the same time?

Hello again,

No, one spark plug keeping a cylinder from firing shouldn't cause the engine to not start. Is your Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) or "check engine" lamp illuminated? Also you have fuel pressure as you can here the fuel pump turn on and prime the fuel system, but are you getting fuel injector pulse to turn the fuel injectors on and off? In the link below we have included a guide describing how to easily test your fuel injectors to make sure the Power-train Control Module is providing the proper duty cycle for each fuel injector.

Another way to test individual fuel injectors that are out of the vehicles on the is to securely fix a hose on the inlet of injector with a spray can of carburetor or brake cleaner spraying through the straw, which in turn, is attached securely to the hose. Get two electrical connector pins that fit on the fuel injector pins and hook up to a 9 volt battery with two wires. The 9 volt battery will provide enough current to open the fuel injector and ensure that the internal solenoid is working as it is supposed to. Spray the carburetor/brake cleaner and as the pressure builds it will get sprayed by the energized fuel injector. Please get back to us with what you are able to find out.

Thanks,
Alex
