Shut off while driving will not start?

I was driving and it just shut off. It didn't start back up. I had to call a tow.

The problem may be in the fuel system, with that many miles on the car it is very possible the fuel pump screen may have gotten clogged up and not let fuel to the engine.

I just put a new fuel pump and change the fuel filter this week. It's getting gas in the carburetor.

Okay, start by checking all fuses and if they are okay It sounds like the ignition module or coil needs to be replaced. Can you check for power at the red or pink wire going into the distributor cap when the key is on, this guide can help:
