Can a Nissan Hitachi motor be used in a Chevrolet Malibu?

The Malibu is 2009 model not sure what year the Hitachi motor is.

Good morning.

The size may be the same but that is it. The controls are completely different as well as the mountings.

The engine would require customer electrical work in order for it to run as well. It would be much easier to get the correct motor to the car.
