I was wondering how do you know if the 1999 engine is interchangeable up to the 2002 Cavalier engines?

I am looking to swap out the engine and just wanted to see if I could find some verification before I buy the engine.

-Thanks!

Good afternoon.

Yes, it is compatible but you may need to change over the external components to the donor engine. Not everything is compatible. The basic block is the same but some of the bolt on's, such as intake and exhaust manifolds may have to be changed.
