Hello,

Are you getting any warning light illuminated on the dash, while the car runs?

It could be few different reasons.
One possibility is a bad alternator. As you can jump start it but after the jumper cable gets disconnected the engine stalls due to the alternator discharging the battery.
Typically, with a low alternator output the battery light will be illuminated.

One way you can test this is to check the alternator output to the battery while the engine is running. It should have 13.6V to 15.2V output to the battery.

Here is a guide of how to test the alternator:

Other possibility is that it could be due to a sensor that is triggering the shutdown.
Sometimes when the issue is a sensor the check engine light will get illuminated.

What symptoms did you have before this issue started? Did it just happen suddenly?

Please let me know little more information of what you are experiencing.
Thank you.
