Electric

I replaced the spark plugs and it would not start, I had the coil checked it was fine, I was told it was the distributor, I replaced it and it started right up, but all lights started flashing I turned it off and then I started it back up not a light one works except faint battery light, before changing anything everything worked fine. I have checked all fuses linkable regular and all the grounds even fuses up front of battery, no light's period, but it starts and runs fine just not dash. The tail lights, head lights, brake lights, nothing, no electrical period what is wrong? I have asked around many times to get an answer and no one seems to know what the problem is.
