1984 Eagle 4wd automatic 90000+ miles

Towed it 200+ miles all four on the ground

car does drive now (has been sitting +- 6 months) got it running but looked like a leak underneath (smoke coming off the tail pipe) ...It was raining and late so I could not look under it. Dont know if it is tranny or oil but did I do damage towing it?

Chances are you didn't hurt anything by towing it. However, I need to know where the leak is coming from. Check if it is trans fluid or engine oil.

Let me know what you find.

Suggested Repair

Towing likely did not cause damage. Inspect the leak and determine whether it is transmission fluid or engine oil before further diagnosis.
