Hello, the driver's side power window stopped working. I can hear the motor attempting to move the window. I removed the door panel and looking down into the door, the window appears to be within the track along the front edge. But I do see loose cables. I can reach down about three to four inches into the door and feel cables that appear to be hanging loose. There are also a few springs on the cable that look like they are not positioned correctly. Does this sound like the power window regulator assembly needs to be replaced? I have basic skills, and the YouTube videos I have seen make it look doable but not very easy. Do you recommend biting the bullet and having a local mechanic get it done? Thanks very much, Bill

Hello, I am Danny.

Yes, your window motor/regulator assembly is defective. It is a relatively easy replace (three hours). I have attached a picture of what it looks like. I have also attached step-by-step instructions. The part itself runs roughly $70.00. Hope this helps and feel free to ask any questions if needed. Thanks for using 2CarPros.

Thanks Danny! I took your advice and bought the part ($45.00) and installed myself rather than pay several hundred dollars. Took me most of one evening in the garage but it is good as new now! Thanks again!
