The driver’s side exterior mirror of my car has cracked. Electrically the mirror works well. I would like to just replace the mirror if possible.

I contacted the dealership and they said the only sold the complete unit for $469.00 plus installation.

Looking for a more affordable alternative!

The cheapest option I have used is to trace the mirror onto a piece of paper and get a thin mirror glass cut to size and glue this over the cracked mirror.

MHP uses the same method I use if there is no easy replacement. Many parts stores in the US sell an easy to cut replacement material.

Or you can get one that is precut from Burco through Auto-Zone for around $40.00 depending on which version you need, they have the large and small units plus with and without built in signals.

Another option is to visit a glass shop, they can cut a new mirror then break out the old one and bond a new one in. I have also done that if the original was in poor shape.
