So, there is a button on the dash that turns on both the rear window and side mirror defroster at the same time.

But I've noticed only the rear window and passenger side mirrors actually defrost. The driver's side doesn't seem to work. What would be the best way to troubleshoot this? Or does the driver side even have defrost, since you can literally just reach out the window and wipe it off?

Hello,

Any vehicle that has mirror defrost will be for both the driver and passenger side. And yes, your vehicle has both mirrors that are heated.
So, the non-functioning defrost is likely due to a faulty heating element on the driver side mirror.
Does the power function of the mirror work properly?
If it does, then you know it is getting power.

Another possibility is a broken wire, likely inside the mirror.
In order to find that you will have to remove the mirror and first inspect the wires for any corrosion or break.

If that is good, then the fix would be to replace the mirror assembly.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you.

Yes, the power adjustment on the mirror works, just not the defrost.

So it is likely the faulty heating element inside the mirror.
