1996 dodge ram 1500 4*4. im hearing an odd noise coming from what sounds like the rear end of the vehicle whenever I accelerate and when im on the highway it seems louder and it is getting worse what could this be? it seems to me like the sound of somthing that isnt lubricatedin the rear end but all the fluid levels are fine. Could this be a worn part in the rear end

Yes and usually it's carrier bearings...can also be pinion bearing. Mileage could help, because axle bearings can also be going! any axle oil in the drums?
If you narrow down the problem I can assist you! Check the rear brakes first, as this will be the easiest fix!
