Its hard to start it turns over about six revolutions then starts?

My truck is a 2003 dodge ram 1500 with the 4.7l. And its hard to start it turns over about six revolutions then starts. But also it idles rough when at intersections wants to die. And it also loses power when it gets above 55mph wants to stall out bucks and jerks but after u let off the gas is smooths out can u help me to know where to start first to solve the problems. Thank u.

Have you checked fuel pump pressure? Also, have you checked the catalytic converter to make sure it isn't plugged? Has the check engine light come on?

And no have not checked the fuel pressure yet. Or the coverter. But the check engine light has been on foe awhile now the first time it came it was the 02 sencer. The went off but now its back on and the garage doesnt now why they said they check everthing. And not to sound stupid but how do u check the converter with out taking it off the truck.

Actually, you check back pressure via the O2 sensor ports. A gauge just screws into the port, start the engine, and you can tell how much back pressure is being created. Does there feel like a lot of pressure coming from the exhaust when it is running? Also, you mentioned the light is on again. Is it the same code for an O2 sensor?
