1998 Dodge Ram V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 1998 dodge ram 2500, the check engine light went on and the engine doesnt accelerate, when you are driving it doesnt go more than 15 miles an hour? Could anybody help me?

Hi:
If the check engine light is on, most likely a sensor has failed, but the good news is the computer will have a code stored which will identify where the problem is. If you get the truck to a nationally recognized parts store, most will scan it for free.

For me to guess isn't a good idea because we may end up replacing good parts. Let me know what you find.
