I have a 95 ram 1500 5.2L V8 and when I let completely off the gas I hear a clicking sound. It sounds like it's coming from the tranny but not for sure. I'd appreciate an answer, but don't have money to spare for a donation.

A (soft) clicking is normal as the transmission down shifts. Do you hear it all the time or only when it down shifts and is first placed in gear?

It's as soon as I let off the gas until I stop. If I keep on the gas just a little bit it doesn't make the noise. It will do it occasionally when I start to accelerate from a stop.

Not yet. I just bought the truck and haven't had much time to look it over closely.

If its a rear drive shaft u-joint you will mostly hear the noise when there is strain on the joint, such as going down a hill in low gear, or when the tranny shifts it will clack. You can check it by wiggling the shaft around and checking for any play in the joints, there should be none.
