Same problem here.95 ram 2500.88k.100%not the belt. Truck was overheating when I bought it. No squeal. I changed the thermostat, no squeal, but still fluctuating temperature. Got it home, fluched the entire coolant system, no squeal. Then replaced the water pump to be sure. I figured I may as well replace the belt while im at it, so I did. Started her up and she warmed up just fine and diddnt overheat anymore. That was good, but now it was squealing like crazy. Sounded more mechanical. But I figured it was just some excess coolant on the the new belt. I degreased and pressure washed entire engine, paying special attention to belt/pulleys, and it was still squealing. Sounded more like a bad bearing in the tensioner or idler pulleys, so I replaced the entire tensioner assembly, and the idler pulley. Much to my disbelief, it was still @#*$#! Squealing! So now im running out things to replace. The sound is so loud, yet so close to evrything. I took the fan off to see if maybe it was the fan clutch. Started it. Still squeals. So I swapped the alternator. Started it. Still squeals? Im about to do the power steering pump. Let me know what u think. Similiar though?
