Hi, I have a 2005 Neon. For the past 6 months or so, when I stop at light in Drive, the car idles rough. If I tap the gas, it straightens itself out. It's very intermittent, and seems to happen mainly in warmer temperatures. I replaced the plugs, wires and air filter, but still have the same problem. I suspect an electronic computer chip problem (only because I had the same problems when I first bought the car new) and Chrysler downloaded an upgrade to the chip and then it was Ok. Until about 6 months ago. The Chrysler dearlship, wants to clean the injectors and throttle body to the tune of ABOUT $400. What do you think?
Thanks, Mark.

I just looked it up and saw a update(probably the one you had) I would look to make sure there is not a engine mount grounding out causing the vibration. It very well could be dirty throttle body too. To clean all you have to do is remove the intake snorkel and spray carb cleaner on throttle platye and wipe with clean rag.

What is your opinion on those fuel injector cleaners that are put in the gas tank. Also, can you please elaborate on your response below.
" I would look to make sure there is not a engine mount grounding out causing the vibration"

Do you mean grounding out electrically?
Thanks. Mark.

The bulletin was for a vibration when cold. The grounding out I mean, if a engine mount is worn the engine will sometimes rest on the frame instead of being held in place by the rubber engine mount. The cleaner in the tank I dont think will do anything for you. You will have to physically clean the throttle body.
