I know absolutely nothing about car and my car has given me quite a bit of trouble.3 days ago the heater stopped working, and its getting cold! Today, it overheats. My brother and I checked it and I had zero coolant. Which seemed odd, because it had just started overheating today; We go to put a little bit of water in it before I pick up more coolant and there is a leak, a very obvious, like a running faucet, leak. Could I possibly pray and dream this is just the drainage cap popped off? Or is it most likely a blown head gasket? Or is it just a freakishly large leak and there is something else with my car that caused the heating. Please help I am so sick of spending money on my car, and I want to make sure I know whats going on this time.
Thanks,
Sarah

The engine will overheat if it doesn't have coolant flowing thru it. Find where the leak is and report back.

Its basically right side bottom, you can literally see it flow out like a faucet when you fill it, most likely the drainage cap? I pray so.I drove it to work and back today and just filled it to the leak before and filled again.I guess if I am really that cheap I can just put coolant in it every 30 miles. But it ran fine today, the heater even works now, but nevertheless the leak is obvious and needs to be fixed
