2001 Dodge Neon trouble starting

My 2001 neon has recently had trouble starting. I will try and try and all of the sudden it will start. When I turn the key there is no clicking or engine trying to turn over. It just makes a low humming noise for about 5 seconds. The car has about 80,000 miles on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated
