1999 Dodge Neon charging system

Just put a new altenator and battery in my 99 neon 2.0 sohc andd the battery light keeps coming on what could this be its charging good and its a new battery

The neon has whats called a battery temperature sensor and if it is faulty it will make your light come on and stay on. If you want to replace it it is located on the front of the battery box it looks like a little globe or half circle. If its not that then you either have a faulty ground or a bad wire, in other words a wire thats fringed or cut, hope this helps!
