Cooling System Overpressure

I own a 1995 Dodge Intrepid. I am trying to decide if compression gases are getting into my cooling system. What it does is after running a few minutes, the pressure cap releases and blows out coolant. I have tried another cap. Until then, it runs cool. It overheats after blowing out coolant. The heater always blows cold. I have removed the thermostat just in case that was the problem. I have tried bleeding it, but it never get a constant stream of water. Always some air or gases in there. Also, if you think that compression gases are getting in there, is it just a head gasket replacement, or could it be something else? Any and all ideas will be appreciated.

Dodge has a weird way to bleed the system but if this was happening before you removed the thermostat the problem is somewhere else, you can buy whats called a block tester and check for exhaust gasses in the cooling system or take it to the shop and have them do that and perform a cooling system pressure test, these two tests should point right at the problem, also check for coolant in the oil on the dipstick

Just a follow up on my problem. It was bad head gaskets. Replaced the head and intake gaskets and it fixed the problem.
