My car overheated the other day and coolant was spewing out of the radiator all over the engine. When I pulled over the car was smoking and all of the radiator coolant was empty. I filled it up with water to get it home and the same thing happened. I had it towed and my mechanic said the head gasket had blown and it would cost $1,800 to fix it and if the heads are cracked it will be way over $2,000. I had just put $800 into the car the week before and was trying to sell it for $3,500. Don't think it's worth fixing, especially if the engine is cracked. What do you think?

Hi there,

well is a matter of how much money you want to pour into it, if the head is cracked it will cost more than a straight head gasket problem, the car is basically worthless as it is, but can you justify fixing it to make a few dollars, may be try and sell as is at a reduced price and be rid if it.
