Hello, I live in chicago and the wheather is very cold right now. I tried to start my 2000 dodge intrepid and it made a clicking sound. I went and got a jump start and the car turned on so I heated it up for 20-30 minutes. I turned the car off to clean the snow and when I went back in the car to start it the clicking noise was back and the car would not start. The radio and the lights still turned on but the car would'nt. I believe it is the starter or alternator not sure though. Can you tell me how much this will be to fix or if there is something I can do to fix the car myself or to find out what the problem really is?

It sounds as if your starter has a flat spot
you need to have it replace
look to spend good $200+
have the battery check and tested too
