1999 Dodge Intrepid Hood release handle Defective

The cable usually snaps at the handle itself. If this is the case then just grab some pliers or vice grips and pull the cable to release hood latch. If it is broken at the latch then you will have to use a flat tool to go up from underneath vehicle and push in latch to release hood or if cable is still long enough try and reach it from under vehicle and pull.
