I was told yesterday that my waterpump, tensioner, idler pulley and serpentine belt need to be replaced because each one was related to the other. I was wondering since the parts seemed reasonable in price the labor seems astronomical. Total came to 725.00 about 325.00 was in parts does that seem too high for parts and labor and is it usual to have to replace all these things at the same time. Thank you

Get a second opinion. First, they are not all related to each other. Yes they all run on the belt, but all of them going bad at the same time is very odd. As far as the price, if I could get that much for the job, I would do them every day. From a parts store, you have about 150 dollars in parts, and a couple hours labor.

Let me know if you have other questions.
