The air conditioner won't blow and when it does blow it's very weak. It doesn't matter what setting you have it on its blows on low or not at all. It feels cold when it does blow. It's the same in cold or hot and it doesn't change when you put it on defrost floor or any settings. Thanks door your help. Kelly

Hi Kelly:

It sounds like you have 2 seperate problems. However, I have to ask a couple questions. First, does the blower motor make any funny noises? Next, when it does work, are you able to adjust the fan speed (can you hear it change even if you can't feel it change?) Finally, as far as not being able to change the air flow direction, I will explaine this to you. THere are vent doors in the HVAC system that are in place to change the direction. These doors that I'm refering to are actuated by engine vacuum. I would say that 90% of the time when you can't change air flow direction, it is caused by a vacuum leak either under the dash or the hood. That is what I would tell you to check for that problem. Check for disconnected, broken or dry rotted hoses. If you are lucky, with the engine running, you may actually hear a hissing sound from where the leak is.

Let me know about the fan speed and what you find with the vacuum problem.

Joe
