I was driving with my air on and suddenly a high pitched squeal and then the air stopped. Their is no air or heat coming thru the vents. The truck still runs fine, it sounds like the air compressor is still working ok. I didnt see a specific fuse for a fan/blower in either the fuse panel inside the truck or engine mounted box. Both engine fans are working and the belts are ok. Is there a blower under the dashboard that may be bad and if so where is it located. Thanks

Hi:

Yes, there is a blower motor under the dash. The squeal you described sounds like the motor locked up. The lubricant dries up causing the motor to lock-up. If you plan to replace the motor yourself, let me know. I'll try to get you a printout of where the motor is located. It will be under the dash on the passenger side, and will require that you remove part of the dash.

Let me know if I can help.

Joe
