We have a 1988 Dodge Ramcharger and we have noticed that the brake lights like to stay on when you first start it up, and after it goes off, the lights will come back on and stay on while driving. If you try and push the brake up with your foot, the brake will compress on your foot. Any ideas?

on your brake pedal housing bracket you should see a wire running to it . attached to the wire is a switch that is your brake light switch you should see if the switch is sticking on after you release brake pedal they get old and will stick. it happened on my 77 ramcharger and i just replaced the switch. if you want you could spray a electrical lubricant on it and work it so it goes in and out real easy.
