My relatively new Dodge 3.3L makes a whirring sound after driving about 50 miles down the freeway, it's still under warrenty but the garage says it's normal to make that sound but it doesn't sound normal. I think the noise is coming from the oil pump.
What can I do? is it normal?

hi tony.well not normal.prob should take to a different dealership.if it was normal why after 50 miles.what exactly is the noise/ these questions have to be answered before they can call it normal. i would think that you will be faceing major probs down the road if this prob is not found and repaired.it could be the oil pump.it could be in the trans. it could be as simple as an idler pulley going bad. demand an answer from the dealer .if no help call the chrysler rep in your area he can solve this prob. good luck billymac
