The air bag light has come on in the dash, first couple of days it came on but went back out a few times. Now it stays on. Local garage charged me $90 and told me to take it a dealer because they could not fix. The work order states " Passenger squib #2 open". Is there something I can look for to hopefully fix myself?

The passenger connection is behind the airbag module and this or the module may cause a squib error. It may be a bad airbag controller or scanner that came up with this code. The passenger airbag is not too hard to remove from under the right side inst. panel. Four screws. ok
