Engine Performance problem
2000 Dodge Caravan 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

hi bob and ken,
I just went for a emission retest of my vehicle but unfortunately, it failed again for the second time and I am worried because my plate renewal is just 4 days away. I have changed the spark plugs, oil and filter and the air filter but the hydrocarbons reading went up from the last time. The hydrocarbon limit here in Canada is 50 and my retest reading is 86. It went up again the last time which was 76. Please advice me on what to do. Thanks a lot.

Do you have a check engine light on and if so need to get the code s
high hydrocarbon is an indication usually of a bad tune up or O2 sensors
and I would think that you should get a check engine light on
