An audio signal sounds and the low fuel indicator light comes on every few seconds regardless of how full the tank is. I can imagine that replacing the sensor is going to be expensive. All I want to do is disconnect the audio signal as it drives everyone in the car nuts going ding, ding all the time. Thank you in advance for your help.

The float rheostat, which is part of the fuel pump, is the problem. They are one unit, and a pump is about 200.00 and the fuel tank needs removed to replace it. As far as the noise, I need to know if it is coming from under the dash or through the radio speakers.
