1998 Dodge Caravan Ignition

When I go to start my car the first few times I turn the key it just clicks. Then it starts right up no problem. Sometimes it starts up no problem anyways but usually all I get is a click first. Is it the ignition switch or a deeper problem?

Few things need to be check
1st check battery terminals making sure they are clean and tight

2nd check starter and small S terminal wire if loose or corroded

and if all OK
3rd check and suspect ignition switch
