Transmission problem
1997 Dodge Caravan 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have a 97 Dodge Caravan and she is a bit old so I try not to push her too hard but other day I was driving home and it sounded like the transmission was having trouble shifting. I release the gas pedal then coast then I push the gas again and it shifts fine. Now the next day I was driving to school and it doesn't shift at all, it won't even move while in drive but the reverse works. I have no idea what to do. I'm pretty sure the transmission is gone.

The only thing I can say is first make sure the ATF is clean and full. If it is, have the trans control module tested.
