1996 Dodge Caravan starting problems

My 96 caravan wont start. I turn the key and it wont turn over just repetitive clicking from the starter. I replaced the two copper pieces in the starter where the plunger contacts them. Still wont turn over just clicking a little faster

Ok, first try to put it in neutral and start it, if that doesnt work, try to jump it, if that works then you know your battery is bad, but also make sure everything on the battery connections are clean with no corrosion, make sure connections are tight at the alternator and starter.
