Both brake lights went out at same time. Center brake light still works. Checking with a tester, there is still power going to plug at housing and also appears to have power in contacts at bezel where you mount the socket. But no lights. Backup light appears to use same socket and tried switching, no luck. Replaced bulbs also.

Are you getting 12 volts to the socket? If so, the socket may be bad and not making connection with the bulb.

Was getting 12 volts to assy. Replaced both assy's. And they both work fine now. Find it very odd that both assy's. Went out at same time. I tried replacing individual sockets prior to replacing whole assy. With no luck.

That is the way it always works, but I'm glad they work now. If you have questions in the future, let us know.
