1996 Dodge Caravan 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I purhased the vehicle on December 1,2008. On March16, 2009 a payment was due in the aount of $120.00 for a 2week period the payment didnot ge made until March 27,2009 of $186.00 that was to take me to April 13,2009. The problem is it gas a GPs tracking system in it and on March 27,2009 the chip was shut down and I have not driven the car a full 24hours. It has been in the shop on and off since March 27,2009 and they can not tell me what is wrong with the car and I am still making payments on it. It decelerates when driving.

This description is really confusing. As near as I can tell, you think the gps system is responsible for your vehicle shutting down. Can't be true. OnStar systems in GM vehicles allow tracking of location, speed, failure to repair emissions-related problems, etc. In short, big brother. Is it any wonder people don't want to buy these cars?

GPS systems were not available in 1996, so your unit has to be an after-market add-on system. All it does is tell you where you are and how to get where you want to go. Even with the newer factory-installed systems, no one can control Chrysler vehicles other than you. There are no subscription fees involved with Chrysler vehicles.

No idea what you're referring to about "chip" or the dollar amounts. There are a lot of computer modules on your van, but none of them can be "shut down" intentionally.
