I just spent alot of money on a rebuilt transmission, it was suggested I replace the timing belt because of the milage. I've only put on aprox 20k miles since buying it used. Is the timing belt for a 1995 Dodge Caravan a non interference engine or an interference engine? Short on $ because of the transmission and a few other repairs, so if it's a non interference engine, is it safe to just wait till it breaks and then get it repaired? Or should I do it now to be safe. Thank-you

Yours is free wheeling, and the note in the book states, although the manufacturer does not recommend a specific maintenace schedule, aftermarket belt makers recommend 60,000 mile interval! This is for 3.0 engine, you didnt specify your engine size! They also have a 3.3!
