Hi guys,
I just bought a '94 Dodge caravan and the valve cover gasket needs to be replaced. There seems to be only two long bolts holding down the cover, in the center of the cover which seems pretty strange to me, considering most vehicles have 6-10 small bolts holding the cover down to give more of a all-around seal. The gasket is obviously bad because the oil is leaking onto the exaust manifold.
If I take off the two long bolts, will that be the only things holding down this cover?
I know it seems like an obvious question but it's my only vehicle right now, so I have to get the leak stopped before it gets too darn cold to do anything about it. Thanks for your time.
Sincerely, Tommy Toycen, madison, wi.

Hi Tommy:
That's all that holds it on if it's a 3.0L. Before you start, make sure you have the clearance needed to remove the rear cover.

Joe
PS: Good luck with the cold weather. I hate it!
