1994 Dodge Caravan Oil Level Guage

The oil level guage does not correspond to the dip stick level. The oil dip stick measure full on level ground - engine cold. The oil level guage only shows half full, even if engine is running. How do I fix this problem? The Haynes Repair Manual does not even address this issue. Your experience and wisdom would be highly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

I don't think your vehicle was ever equipped with an oil LEVEL gauge, are you certain you are not looking at the oil PRESSURE gauge? Which should be around the middle of gauge.
